Fraud Job Postings

We have just recently come to learn that there are employment propositions on the web pretending to be made on behalf of Eastern Fisheries, Inc. and Eastland Fisheries, Inc of Massachusetts, sounding very much like our company. These opportunities are FRAUDELENT and are NOT offered by Eastern Fisheries, Inc.

The job offers come from organizations falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Eastern Fisheries or Eastland Fisheries, Inc., by people claiming to work for or at Eastern Fisheries, Inc or Eastland Fisheries, Inc. These propositions notify individuals that their qualifications were found suitable to work as an employee for Eastern Fisheries, Inc., or Eastland Fisheries, Inc. and solicit the transfer of significant sums of money to pay for work permits, insurance policies, etc.

Please note that Eastern Fisheries will never ask for any money or payments from applicants. All valid communications should always originate from a verifiable Eastern Fisheries, Inc., e-mail address and not from an Internet e-mail address e.g.: hotmail, yahoo etc.

The attempt is to confuse Eastland Fisheries, Inc., with our company and is a FRAUD.

What to do…

1. Do not respond to unsolicited business propositions and/or job offers from people or e-mail addresses you do not know or trust.
2. Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you do not trust. .
3. Be on the lookout for suspicious signs – e.g. communications from non-Eastern Fisheries, Inc addresses (e.g. from a yahoo.com address); poor use of English; and requests for money.
