Eastern Fisheries Introduces Far Eastern Brand products
March 2005 - Eastern Fisheries, the world's largest scallop company, announces the introduction of the Far Eastern brand. The Far Eastern brand will be used for scallops and other seafood products that are produced and packed in China and other Pacific Rim countries. Initially, the Far Eastern name will be used for sea scallops from the Changhai County Region in Northern China. The scallops will be marketed by Eastern to the foodservice market in the U.S.

Colorful packaging has been developed to communicate the Asian origins of Far Eastern products. Eastern Fisheries plans to extend the line to include other seafoods and value-added seafood meals.
