AMERICAN SCALLOP ASSOCIATION PARTICIAPTES IN ANNUAL NOAA SUSTAINABLE SEAFOOD CELEBRATION

As a member of the American Scallop Association (ASA) Eastern Fisheries participated in this year’s NOAA Sustainable Seafood Celebration (formerly NOAA Fish Fry) event along with ASA member Raw Seafood on Wednesday, June 7th in Washington, D.C.

This year’s event brought more than 1,500 people to the U.S. Department of Commerce Courtyard. The annual event, organized by NOAA, celebrates our nation’s sustainable seafood and commercial fisheries.

“In addition to the opportunity to meet government officials and congressional members this annual event helps to promote our local, wild caught resources,” said John Whiteside, General Counsel American Scallop Association.
